The first poster for Alien: Covenant is here. The latest movie in the long-running sci-fi horror franchise is set to hit theaters in May, which is three months earlier than previously announced, and the poster promises something seriously scary.

Alien: Covenant is directed by Ridley Scott, who helmed 2012’s Alien prequel Prometheus, as well as the classic 1979 original. It stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Demian Bichir, and Danny McBride.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but it is actually a dark, dangerous world, whose sole inhabitant is the synthetic David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

It’s rumoured that Guy Pierce will reprise his role as billionaire entrepreneur Peter Weyland in the movie. Pierce appeared as an older Weyland in Prometheus, and according to AVP Galaxy will feature in the opening scene of the new movie.
